    Subordinate cities

So I got a nice legendary subordinate city key from the event and OF COURSE I jumped on the occasion to take it but unfortunately I couldn’t. I dropped one of my cities (I had 3 spots opened and only using 2 but just in case the third one was not REALLY opened, I dropped the second one). Still couldn’t. The only option available was to attack it. Now I was convinced after talking to some people in the world chat that I didn’t have the power to take it, but now I can’t take any NPC ones... What’s the issue here? What is it I need to fix?! Thank you in advance.

Oh, I’m a level 22 Knight, my keep is level is currently 23.

    Hi!!

I am just learning about Sub Cities too. I hope that I can help you!! Now, NPC Sub cities as you seem to have been told, in order to take it over you must attack it and win. After doing so you can then claim it as your own. As long as when you click on Sub City tab, to bring up the list of your cities, and you have a glowing "+" sign there you have a slot for an additional Sub City to be added.

When you click on the NPC Sub City on the World Map it brings up a little menu, like when you attack monsters. In that menu it will tell you some details about that city and your likely hood of beating it. Not all Sub Cities are created equal.

I have been told, but do not quote me on this, that you can attack and claim Sub Cities already owned by other players as long as it is a KILL EVENT ONLY for the Monarch event.

Sometimes the game does go a little "weird". You said you were loosing all the Sub City battles? Do you have Generals that can be in charge of those cities? What does the city info pop up tell you about different cities you have tried? What do the Battle Reports from attacking the Sub Cities tell you?

Sometimes if you focus on something else, or close and reopen the game, and then go back the "glitch" is gone. But focus on the info that the game is providing for each NPC Sub City you want to take over.

    Hope my rambling helps!!

Yeah nah I ain’t losing my battles, I just abandoned a sub city in order to get the better one. When I tapped “attack” the pop up says “attacking sub cities causes you to lose troops, occupy the city to claim it” but I think that only apply to the very first one you get! In order to occupy it, you NEED to attack it first. At least for the second one and third and so on.
